Teeny Pictures

So I didn't realize how small the pictures would be when I chose to upload them as "small". Oops. But clearly I am too lazy to re-upload them, so you're just gonna have to squint for this one :) (Although if you click on the picture it will show up big for you.)

I helped a friend out with a wedding back in August (man was it hot!). He was photographing their wedding for free but needed some help. I like second-shooting a wedding because you can pretty much shoot what you like, and do a lot of detail shots that the first shooter might miss because they are busy with what the bride and groom want. Although, I don't like being second-shooter because you have to follow someone else around and have to do what they ask.

In any case, it was fun, I had a good time. I'm glad I wasn't the main shooter because I hadn't been on my feet that long since Bryce was born. So I was able to leave early when I got super-tired, which was nice.

Here's the bride and groom, she was trying to get a gnat off of his face. The gnats were horrible! And the humidity was so strong. Those are the two main things that make me want to get out of Virginia as fast as possible.

The table settings were so cute, I loved the silver pails with the daisies.

This little guy was the bride's grandson, the woman holding him is the bride's daughter and maid of honor. I love family weddings :)

Mother-Daughter moment.

I loved how he was holding her dress up for her as they were walking around the grounds, adorable :)

They held hands the entire day, too cute!

Well, I'm glad I finally got around to posting that wedding. Hopefully there will be some more posting in the future :)

Precious Little Child

So I said I would blog more and here I am, not blogging more... Today I was going to share some pictures from a wedding that I helped someone shoot a while ago, but why do that when I have the most adorable child that I could share pictures of instead? :) So without further ado, here is the other love of my life:

Obviously we are not saying that she is a tiny baby elephant, but even if she were, we would love her anyway. I mean, c'mon, look at that belly!

Paaaaassed out!

She's getting good at tummy time! She has a little surfboard mat that we use for tummy time that has a little bag filled with water and fake fish. Little girl *loves* that mat, she "plays" with the fish and gets fussy when you take her off of it.

Here she is playing with a new mat that I found for her at a community yard sale. Look at the intense stare she is giving the toy trying to figure out what it is (to be fair, I don't even know what it is!)

Basking in the sunlight, looking like a little angel, it's just not fair :)

Sleepy little girl on dad's shoulder. This just melts my heart :)

And she's out! This is her Pentecostal sleep pose. Well, at least we find it funny :)

Baby Andrew

I took some pictures of a friends new baby boy who was born a couple weeks ago, his name is Andrew Christopher and is adoooorable! He's got the cutest little face and when he cries it's just so precious! His parents always sang the Peanuts theme song to him when his mom was pregnant so they decided to go with the Snoopy theme for his room, it's too cute.

I mean c'mon, just look at that precious face!

Andrew in his Snoopy room.

This little boy is definitely a miracle. He was born via c-section because they thought he was going to have to undergo major surgery because he was going to be born with some of his organs on the outside. They said he would have to spend 10 - 14 days in the NICU and his parents would not be able to see him. But Andrew was born and the neo-natal doctors took one look at him, said, "Oh, this isn't so bad", shoved his little guts back inside of him and clamped him shut. Didn't have to spend more than 3 das in the NICU and his parents were allowed to see and hold him, and they went home after spending ony 4 days at the hospital. They are now home and everyone is healthy and happy! What a miracle :)

Long time gone...

SO! Since my last post, almost 11 months ago, I have gotten pregnant, graduated from college, and had a beauuutiful baby girl. Her name is Bryce Adeline and she was born on July 7th, weighing 7lbs, 7oz. Our little heavenly girl :)

I thought I had given up on blogging, and who knows, this may be my last post for another year, but we're gonna give it another try. I may only have pictures of my daughter, but hey, that's alright.

So without further ado, here are just a few pictures from the past 12 weeks:

Love at first sight :)

Sleeping on Dad.

Lovin' the Amby Hammock

Little Miss Diva :)

I have told my husband this story numerous times, but I never really understood what people meant when they said they could "eat" their kids. I totally understand now. I mean look at those cheeks!!

She melts my heart every time she smiles!

Such a poser for the camera already :)

Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with the blog more this time around. I have so many pictures that I want to post from the past year almost, but I'll start over. No cheating for me!

Loving Fall

I took a walk to Trader Joes the other day to get some Root Beer, because I had a craving, and there was some of the most beautiful fall light in the sky, so I brought my camera along with me. The first picture is my favorite, I have no idea what these little rag-weeds are (well, maybe they are rag-weeds! ha!), but they were pretty and golden in the afternoon sun.

I know this one doesn't really go with the theme, but the tree was too pretty to leave out :)

Katie & Ric Take 2...

Here are a few more from Katie and Ric's wedding! Blogger is finally letting me upload these, I don't know what the issue was before. Most likely a user error :)

I had forgotten about this picture until I ran across it, I LOVE it for some reason! I think I just love the sky, it's gorgeous!

Poor Katie had the sun in her face, I kept telling her, "OK! On 3 you can open your eyes, ready? 1... 2...3!" The left side of her face is a little blown out, but I like this portrait anyway:

The gazebo at Fort Meyer was my favorite! It had such interesting patterns up top:

This is another one of my favorite pictures of the two of them. I love this building, it was so pretty:

That's it for now! Anyone need a wedding photographer? I've got some weekends open! ;)

Katie & Ric

I had the pleasure of photographing my dear friend from high school, Katie's, wedding. Katie and Ric were married October 13th in Ashburn, and their reception was at the Officers Club in Fort Meyer. I was so excited that they asked me, and Katie was such a beautiful bride! I now don't care any longer that people mixed up our name's in high school. :) Here's some pictures from that day...

Clearly, this is the beautiful bride I was talking about:

The bridal party at a gazebo behind the officers club. Poor kids, had to walk through grass that was soaked with rain, or sprinklers. Whatever it was, they were tough and trudged through it with their nice shoes on to get to the gazebo. Thanks everyone :)

Waiting to get into the officers club:

I wanted to upload more, but Blogger isn't letting me at the moment. So. Therefore I will be posting them later :)

Car Show in Leesburg

Went to a car show with Wes yesterday. His parents were hosting the show to raise money for Jill's House. Had a ton of fun and the weather was absolutely beautiful, albeit a little windy! Here are a few of the cars from yesterday:

Early 30's Hotrod:

'51 Ford:

Don't know this one but I loved the horizon shot that it gave in the reflection!:

I loved the way the blue reflected in the silver door handle:

That's all for now, can't wait for the next one :)

ok.. just a few more.

Here's a few more photos from the Steph and Dan's wedding!

Here is dad walking his little girl down the aisle. What was really neat about this wedding was that Steph's dad was also the pastor! I definitely became a little teary-eyed in the back when he whipped out his kleenex!

Shot from Wes in the balcony:

Not the best shot technically at all, but I love it because of grandma in the middle. She loved taking this picture!

I saw a similar shot somewhere on the internet and thought I would try it. Worked out pretty well! Dan and Steph both love golf and were making fun of me for calling every club a putter. I have no idea what they are... :)

Steph looking out the beautiful windows in a gorgeous room:

LOVE this picture, but I can't take credit for it. This was taken by my lovely husband, edited by me. These two are adorable:

Last song of the night, dancing to "Time of My Life". They were re-enacting the famous dance scene at the end. Almost got it :)

That's it for now! Next wedding isn't till October, but I might put random pictures up every once in a while :)
