Teeny Pictures

So I didn't realize how small the pictures would be when I chose to upload them as "small". Oops. But clearly I am too lazy to re-upload them, so you're just gonna have to squint for this one :) (Although if you click on the picture it will show up big for you.)

I helped a friend out with a wedding back in August (man was it hot!). He was photographing their wedding for free but needed some help. I like second-shooting a wedding because you can pretty much shoot what you like, and do a lot of detail shots that the first shooter might miss because they are busy with what the bride and groom want. Although, I don't like being second-shooter because you have to follow someone else around and have to do what they ask.

In any case, it was fun, I had a good time. I'm glad I wasn't the main shooter because I hadn't been on my feet that long since Bryce was born. So I was able to leave early when I got super-tired, which was nice.

Here's the bride and groom, she was trying to get a gnat off of his face. The gnats were horrible! And the humidity was so strong. Those are the two main things that make me want to get out of Virginia as fast as possible.

The table settings were so cute, I loved the silver pails with the daisies.

This little guy was the bride's grandson, the woman holding him is the bride's daughter and maid of honor. I love family weddings :)

Mother-Daughter moment.

I loved how he was holding her dress up for her as they were walking around the grounds, adorable :)

They held hands the entire day, too cute!

Well, I'm glad I finally got around to posting that wedding. Hopefully there will be some more posting in the future :)

Precious Little Child

So I said I would blog more and here I am, not blogging more... Today I was going to share some pictures from a wedding that I helped someone shoot a while ago, but why do that when I have the most adorable child that I could share pictures of instead? :) So without further ado, here is the other love of my life:

Obviously we are not saying that she is a tiny baby elephant, but even if she were, we would love her anyway. I mean, c'mon, look at that belly!

Paaaaassed out!

She's getting good at tummy time! She has a little surfboard mat that we use for tummy time that has a little bag filled with water and fake fish. Little girl *loves* that mat, she "plays" with the fish and gets fussy when you take her off of it.

Here she is playing with a new mat that I found for her at a community yard sale. Look at the intense stare she is giving the toy trying to figure out what it is (to be fair, I don't even know what it is!)

Basking in the sunlight, looking like a little angel, it's just not fair :)

Sleepy little girl on dad's shoulder. This just melts my heart :)

And she's out! This is her Pentecostal sleep pose. Well, at least we find it funny :)

Baby Andrew

I took some pictures of a friends new baby boy who was born a couple weeks ago, his name is Andrew Christopher and is adoooorable! He's got the cutest little face and when he cries it's just so precious! His parents always sang the Peanuts theme song to him when his mom was pregnant so they decided to go with the Snoopy theme for his room, it's too cute.

I mean c'mon, just look at that precious face!

Andrew in his Snoopy room.

This little boy is definitely a miracle. He was born via c-section because they thought he was going to have to undergo major surgery because he was going to be born with some of his organs on the outside. They said he would have to spend 10 - 14 days in the NICU and his parents would not be able to see him. But Andrew was born and the neo-natal doctors took one look at him, said, "Oh, this isn't so bad", shoved his little guts back inside of him and clamped him shut. Didn't have to spend more than 3 das in the NICU and his parents were allowed to see and hold him, and they went home after spending ony 4 days at the hospital. They are now home and everyone is healthy and happy! What a miracle :)
